Billions of stories

"...and there are billions of stories out there. Everyone has at least one of themselves, and in each of them, they are their own protagonist, lead character, main character, playable character, ... of course.
For girls, they are their own Cinderellas. For students, they are their own Harry Potters. For thieves, they could be their own Robin Hoods. For musicians, they are their own Mozarts. For husbands, they are their own Ethan Hunts. For philosophers, they might as well be their own Zarathustras.

That's what their egos tell them. In fact, there are less lambs than guiders, less fish than fishermen, less mortals than heroes, less lost boys than Peter Pans. Because, really, they say, who'd want to be a mere lamb, fish, mortal or NPCs in the story that they would only experience once - the story of their lives?

Of course, though, heroes need sidekicks and fans and lead characters need random NPCs to give them their quests and to enrich the story. Which is why some people would give their attentions to them and not their fellow heroes. It's simply irrelevant. Because, usually, there would only be one Snow White, Holmes, Tony Stark, etc. per story...."
