Why on Earth am I doing these mindless calculations? One does not need to ask if I care how these little digits integrate themselves into their own rigid, exact, imaginary societies. If they claim to be real, shouldn't they have enough brain cells to take care of their own imaginations? My dear God, there are a bunch of things I would rather be doing right now. 

But, nooo. We have to keep trying to convince my mind that this, too, is something that has to be done.
